DESIGN BACKGROUND AND PERMITS

  • The design of the Ultra-Modern Washroom project was completed through the collaborative efforts of the Antwi Mensah And Family Foundation Co-chairs and the key stakeholders of the Ejisu Roman Catholic School, led by the Senior Parish Priest and the Local Manager, Rev. Fr. Stephen Asante Bakor.
  • The actual construction began in August 2022.
  • Official permits were required for demolishing some identified old structures and for the Washroom construction.

The Other Key Stakeholders were:

  • The school heads (Headmaster and Headmistress)
  • The School Management Committee (SMC)
  • The Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
  • The St. Anthony Catholic Church Management
  • The Ministry of Education – Ejisu Municipality
  • The Municipal Assembly (Chief Executive, Works Dept. Engineers & Quantity Surveyors)
  • The officers of the Agric. Development Bank (ADB), Ejisu Branch
  • The Paramount Chief & the Queen Mother of Ejisu

DESIGN CRITERIA

The Ultra-Modern Washrooms have been designed with the features below:

2 (Two) Separate Buildings

KG Building – For Nursery (Pre-K and K) Students and Staff

P&JHS Building – For Primary and Junior High School Students and Staff

Total No. of Water Closet (W/C) Stalls: 16 (Sixteen)

  • Separate entrances – Students & Staff
  • 1 Urinal
  • 1 Common Shower
  • 3 Wall-mounted Exhaust Fans
  • 1 Water Tower
    • Source of water is Existing Rotary Club Mechanized Borehole (Well)
  • 1 Septic Tank
  • 1 Soak-away Pit

P&JHS (Primary & Junior High School) Building

  • Separate entrances – Students & Staff
  • 1 Male Staff Urinal
  • 1 Male Student Common Urinal
  • 1 Female Changing Room
  • 4 Wall-mounted Exhaust Fans
  • 1 Office – for attendant
  • 1 Storeroom – for supplies
  • 1 Water Tower
    • Source of water is a new Mechanized Borehole (Well) to be constructed
  • 1 Septic Tank
  • 1 Soakaway Pit
