- After the completion of the building designs, a Sod-cutting (ground-breaking) ceremony was held on the grounds of the Ejisu R/C school on August 5, 2022, with the students, educators and staff present.
- That day also happened to be a Career Day for the school, so a selected group of students put up a spectacular cultural show of dancing to traditional Adowa tunes. Another selected group of young students dressed up as medical professionals (doctors and nurses), donned in appropriate gowns, stethoscopes and all.
- The ceremony was well-attended: The entire school population of students, educators and staff (>900), many parents, the Church officials, the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Director of Education, a representative of the Paramount Chief, some community leaders and community members.
- The sod-cutting was covered by the Press, resulting in several published newspaper articles in the Ghanaian media.
